Introduction
What is it about
this experiment is about what happens to celery when it is whit water and food coloring.
What is involved
grab the 4 stems of celery and put them in 4 glass jars and watch what happens.
What scientific rule is being studied
Plants absorbing water.
Supplies
- 4 glass jars
- 4 stems of celery
- 3 different food colors
- 4 cups of water
- Scissors
Process
- Pick Celery from the aquaponics
- Use the scissors to cut off the bottom
- put them in the glass jars
- put yellow,pink and blue food coloring in the glass jars
- wait a hour or a few days and see what happens
Observation
After an hour
nothing happened
After 3 days
the water absorbed the celery

What worked?
the food coloring traveled up the stems
What didn’t work?
the celery should have absorbed the food coloring
What could be better?
I could have took more photos and measure the water
What would you change and how?
I would try store bought celery or celery grown in the dirt.
What did you think would happen?
I thought that the stems would grow roots and they didn’t.
